An absolutely gorgeous and unique antique piece. Made in mid 1800s.The sterling silver components made by J.Y. Cowlishaw Ltd. Sheffield England by a company called Mappin and Webb. The company was established in 1775. This traveling case is made of coromandel wood, which was and still is extremely rare and expensive and would only have been used on very high quality items. The manicure tools are mother of pearl/sterling silver. This piece was passed down in the family. It is a STUNNING and very rare collector’s item.
